Author's description
13 were formed in September 2011 and have been gaining momentum ever since. In just one year, this 5 piece metal band from Hertfordshire, have gone from performing in pubs to headlining in various venues across Hertfordshire and London. As soon as they hit the music scene they started making waves. After only their second ever gig they were invited to play at Camden Rock and have been going back ever since. They have played with many very prestigious bands including Black Polaris, Killerstance, Bloodloss and Voodoo Six (on tour with Iron Maiden) The musical talent is vast, and they haven't stopped improving since. Early tracks were of basic structure and very thrashy, but more recent material such as "Judgement Day, Aubade and Blood Runs Cold" have phenomenal riffs to make most metal heads drool. The music is so catchy, after seeing them perform you will be walking away with one of their choruses stuck repeating in your head until you can see them again. Founding member and lead guitarist Charles Bryan has become recognised as insane guitarist. He steps up armed with Gibsons and Mesas and makes your jaw drop with perfectly composed solos and shreds that leave you lusting for more. Vocally, lead singer James Bryan, has a powerful, versatile voice which has been well adapted into the metal genre. The bands vocal is second to none! They have low, mid, high and guttural screams which carry power and balls. With a combination of James, Charles and Chris, any every song becomes a showcase of how vocalists should collaborate. But front man James delivers with such conviction, charisma and showmanship. He owns the stage with his presence like Freddie Mercury or Mick Jagger. Weather he is singing, screaming or rapping the lyrics are recited with such clarity, and with his friendly persona he always gets the crowd involved.
